Senior Planner – Development Review


Reviews proposed developments for conformance with plans and regulations.

Assists in data collection and analysis of site planning and/or environmental issues and land development regulations.

Reviews studies conducted by other agencies.

Provides technical and advisory assistance to local governments and agencies in matters of comprehensive planning, development and regulatory codes and ordinances.

Participates in public meetings and public hearings that can be televised.

Knowledge of the principles, methods and practices of urban and regional planning.

Ability to supervise planning studies and to formulate recommendations for planning standards.

Bachelor’s Degree in City, Urban and/or Regional Planning.  Experience with environmental issues as demonstrated by prior experience a plus.  5 years experience in professional planning work. Valid Florida Class” E” license.

A comparable amount of training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
