Hurricane season may be over but the recovery from this year’s devastating storms is just beginning. The APA Florida Chapter recently made a donation to the APA Foundation’s Community Assistance Fund to support programs that help impacted communities receive support to address large-scale recovery planning and implementation challenges. All funds donated by Dec. 31 will be matched dollar for dollar by the foundation.

“The communities in Texas, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and throughout the Southeastern states devastated by this year’s hurricanes will need all the help they can rebuilding,” said Andre Anderson, APA Florida President. “We are pleased to contribute to the foundation’s efforts. As planners we have an obligation to lend our expertise to help these communities either through participating in CPATs or offering planning resources.”

Please help us make a difference in these communities today. Consider making a donation to the foundation before Dec. 31. To read more about the foundation’s initiative or contribute, click here. All donations are tax deductible.
