- Land Use Economics Sessions with Joe Minicozzi – South Orlando Circuit Rider Series Stop January 29, 2018
The APA Florida Orlando Metro and Heart of Florida Sections are excited to announce that we will be hosting Joe Minicozzi, AICP, of Urban3, LLC. Mr. Minicozzi’s work focuses on land use economics, a fiscally sound way to proactively manage growth and plan for different types of land uses. At these events, Mr. Minicozzi will provide a high level overview of Urban3’s work in land use economics and property tax analysis, and the firm’s methodology for linking these concepts to land use decisions. Participants will gain a better understanding of the tie between economic productivity and community vitality through land use.

- VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! ORANGE COUNTY PARKS EVALUATION January 14, 2014

Earn AICP CM credits while helping Orange County Parks and Recreation evaluate individual parks with your professional expertise on a Saturday morning! A total of 35 volunteers are needed to visit up to 10 parks in small groups (about 100 parks will be visited in total). Each groups will include a planner, landscape architect and a park professional, led by a parks manager. Begin at Barnett park where groups will meet up for a brief presentation and get details about the evaluation. Transportation to the parks will be provided in addition to free LUNCH!! AICP CMs are being requested.
