- Miami River Boat Tour with Brett Bibeau – April 8, 2016 April 12, 2016
On April 8th, a group of planners from the Gold Coast and Broward Sections headed out to explore the Miami River. Brett Bibeau, Managing Director of the Miami River Commission, led an exciting tour of the waterfront, highlighting development projects in various stages of construction and/or entitlement phases and giving an overview of the river’s history. As a working waterfront, the Miami River offers a great deal of value to the South Florida economy. Gold Coast Section intends to hold future events highlighting efforts to balance preservation of this natural and historic resource with the recently intensified focus on urban redevelopment.

APA FL Gold Coast Section is pleased to announce a guided study and test prep session, AKA Planner’s BOOT CAMP. Join a group of like-minded planners striving to ace this test as we cover planning knowledge covered in the exam, ranging from History and Theories of Planning to Public Participation, Ethics, and Land Use and Planning Law. We will be covering items in an intensive, boot camp format. Come prepared to learn! Readings will be provided via Dropbox and covered through PPT and question exercises during each session.

Cost: $135 ($105 for APA Gold Coast Section members)

Not registered for the exam yet but want to be proactive about preparing? We want you to come too! We will be doing an assessment test at the beginning to help you plan out your studying needs, and have volunteers to assist you as you begin prepping your application.
